by The Bros. Hildebrandt
The action, adventure and eye-popping brilliance of the Star Wars films is now captured in a very limited lithograph of the original Star Wars movie poster. Looking at it, do you have a feeling that something is missing? Back in 1977, when the Hildebrandt Brothers' first version of the painting was presented to George Lucas, the creator felt that there weren't enough characters on it. So when Greg and Tim arrived in New York to drop off their first draft of the movie poster, they were told of Lucas' concerns and that there was no time left - the deadline for the poster was that day! The brothers immediately left the agency, found the closest art store, picked up paint and brushes and went back to the agency where they painted in R2-D2 and C-3PO... and the rest, as they say, is history! Now after 30 years, this forgotten, and truly unique piece has been found!
